As the pioneer duty free operator at Forest City
Indo Serimaju Sdn Bhd is the leading distributor and supplier of duty free products in Malaysia.
After many years of experience in the duty free industry, the company launched Indo Serimaju Duty Free in 2017 and was the pioneer duty free operator in Forest City, a man-made island in Gelang Patah, Johor.
It has two stores spanning 4,000 sq ft in Forest City, and in 2019, expanded its product portfolio to a 7 multi-brand retail outlet spanning 14,000 sq ft. The duty free shop attracted 200,000 local and international shoppers to Forest City in a span of three years since it opened, and created over 50 jobs for the locals.
Indo Serimaju’s IT system is linked with all duty free operators and the Customs Department to monitor the quantities of alcohol and tobacco sold. It strictly complies with the Customs Act 1967 and Customs Regulations 1977, and customs audit is carried out periodically.
